The 2007 County Mountain Pursuit Challenge took place from the 21st to the 23rd of September 2007 in the Comeraghs . Check out the full details here. The 2007 Waterford Scout County Challenge Weekend was an enormous success and in total 15 Patrols took part in the event which was held at the Rathgormack Hiking Centre and on the Knockanaffrin Ridge in Co. Waterford. The theme was BLACK HAWK DOWN and activities included lightweight camping, emergencies and navigation. The video logs that were prepared on the weekend are hosted on Youtube and are available with a selection of photos on our County Challenge 2007 Gallery page. Well done to Tramore who took the prize for having the maddest scout troop and scooped a new Vango Hydra tent from Altitude for their troubles. The overall results were: 1st: Mogadishu Giants - St Pauls; 2nd: Somalian Warlords - St Pauls; 3rd: The Gomaluckaz - 26th Ferrybank; 4th: The Squawks - 7th DLS; 5th: Mc Mahon Maniacs - 15th Sacred Heart; 6th: The Pirates - 4th Abbeyside.

The first Scout event of 2007 was the Annual Fun Weekend in Mount Mellary Scout Centre on the weekend of the 23rd to the 25th of February. There is a selection of photos on our Gallery page.

The PL/APL training weekend took place on the weekend of the 1st 2nd and 3rd of December. The venue was Mount Mellary and 40 scouts from across the county took part. Activities included night navigation, fire lighting, roasting chickens, trapping animals, first aid, shelter building, team challenges and games, bouldering, training on the Court of Honour and a very lively campfire.
