Welcome to the blog of the 3rd Waterford De La Salle Scout Troop for 2010. The troop was founded way back in 1928 which makes us 82 years old this year and we have seen many scouts and leaders over that time. Today, Paschal Guilfoyle is the Scoutleader and Ian Sinnott, David Collins, Colm Ennis, Emily Ennis, Jim Doherty, Kate Hayes and John Kinsella are the Assistant Scoutleaders. The troop has a core of about thirty four scouts which are divided up into five patrols. The patrols are the Peregrine (PL: David Fan), Hawk (PL: Bill Carton), Yellowhammer (PL: Ruairi O'hOgartiagh), Blackcap (PL: Colm Mythen) and Goldfinch (PL: Ciaran Nugent).

We meet every Thursday night from 7.30pm to 9.00pm and a lot of our programme is based in the outdoors. Phoenix Challenge 2010 Larch Hill - 19th - 22nd August 2010
It was an excellent weekend in Larch Hill for all of the Waterford Scout County teams. All 3 Waterford teams achieved the Gold standard of participation in the event along with 13 others from a total field of 52. In the final placings the 3rd De La Salle came eighth and the 7th De La Salle came fourth. Congratulations to the scouts and leaders on all the hard work, effort and top class placings. Annual Camp - Larch Hill Dublin - 1st - 6th July 2010
The 2010 Annual Camp of the 3rd De La Salle Scout Troop took place from the 1st to the 6th of July 2010 at the Scouting Ireland national campsite at Larch Hill in Dublin. The weather and the craic was good and the camp was a huge success. Check out the Annual Camp 2010 Photo Gallery.
