The De La Salle Scout Unit welcomes the announcement that SICSI (Scouting Ireland CSI) and SAI (Scout Association of Ireland) are to begin work immediately on merging the two organisations. The move was agreed at the SICSI National Council held in Waterford on the 9th and 10th of May at the same time as an EGM of the SAI in Dublin. It is hoped that the process will be completed within two years and the new association is expected to be called “Scouting Ireland”.
