The De La Salle Scout Group was founded in 1928 and is based in Waterford City in the southeast of Ireland. It is part of the Waterford Scout County of Scouting Ireland and consists of two Beaver Colonies, three Cub Scout Packs, three Scout Troops, a Venture Scout Crew, a Rover Scout Crew as well as a Scout Pipe Band.
The group celebrated St. Patrick’s day with an array of service awards, a special commendation from the Chief Scout Michael J. Shinnick to the band a multiple Chief Cub Scout awards. Read more →
While the majority of the group are busy with St. Patrick’s day planning, the long distance hiking arm of the De La Salle Leadership Team will be tackling a 110km route along the Dingle Way from the sandy beaches of the Dingle Peninsula to the peaks of Mt. Brandon. Read more →
